Unrequited

Reconcile.

That word a bridge
Over an unfathomable gap.

The joy took in deceit,
Smiles and spit piled at your feet.

You are everything.

Did you know what I would become?
When it began did you know
What I would make undone?

Did you know I would be blind
To every word, eyes cast aside.
My vision capped off
By the skies and my pride.

Did you know I would collapse?
Substance betrayed by style,
I am stooped over in my tracks.

Did you know?

Arms stretched towards me.
An unthinkable longing.

And I saw the tears on your face
Through the holes in your hands.

So you have wished, so I shall stand.
