The Unnecessarily Reinforced Footbridge

You know I remember the stain of the possible blueberry imposters on your fingers quite clearly

You didn’t want to ingest

The picture has run out of pixels
A memory so crisp I recall the coordinates of every verb and every noun
The contrast of the wolf blue berry blood against your skin
Did no more to draw me in
Than the berries’ call to your tongue

To wholly recognize
To leave wholly undone
